Show me the money!!

Oh my, oh my, oh my!! I have made MULTIPLE commissions using PPC with a ClickBank product. My ad campaign generated over 5000 clicks in one day! Also I have another referral for APS!! Today is DEFINTIELY a good day.

Not to mention that I have been selling my Aloette all day at the Convention Center in town for the Holiday Show. I am selling all day tomorrow and Sun. I hope to bring in enough money for the month with this show. I also have another holiday show in town for my Aloette (skin and cosmetic company).

Let me go into a little detail about what I am doing exactly with PPC. I have a specific ad campaign running on AdWords only. It is $.01 per click. Now I am getting all my clicks through advertising by content. This means that when you are on a site about my product that runs Google advertising too, my ad pops up. I am planning on using the Keyword Elite tool of the Site Targeter to figure out where I will get the most traffic and conversions. I love that I have so many clicks but I need a good ROI (return on investment) and right now I am not getting that. My costs for my PPC is exceeding my commissions. So I plan to tweak my ad campaigns to fix this.

It has been a long day on my feet and I need to get some work done....

First Commission!!

YAY!! My blogging and other techniques are working. I am getting traffic to my sites and I am get some sales!! Whew and I thought it was all for naught yesterday. I was ready to give up entirely. To supplement me while I am waiting for more commissions, I am selling Aloette Cosmetics.

This weekend is a HUGE holiday show in our convention center. It also just happens to be a HUGE ACC game in town too. So the city is packed!! I hope this means sales for me so I can cover my expenses for the month and have some left over for Christmas!! I am super excited. So now I am balancing Aloette, Affiliate Marketing, and the household. My husband is being so supportive. He is helping out with the kids so much! I couldn't do this without him. I am soooo glad he is home from Iraq!

Now if you are wondering what I have chosen to promote and sell, there are a few irons in the fire. First is my own people search engine which I am promoting via and AdWords and soon articles. . I am also promoting the opportunity to have your own people search engine and market it using the strategies I am detailing about on this blog. Secondly within this search engine, there are 8 streams of income that I am affiliates with as well. It is all built into this search engine. So if I wanted, all I would have to do would be to promote this search engine. I talked about Affiliate X in my last blog and have promoted some things in there such as Unlimited Movie Downloads, and Satellite Direct. These are shown to be high converters on Affiliate X. I am still navigating Affiliate X to get the results I want. I did start an AdWords campaign for the Unlimited Movie Downloads and got 69 clicks just yesterday. That is pretty good for me.

Oh dear the time is flying by. I must go p/u my daughter from school. I hope to come back tomorrow but may be done blogging until my Aloette sale is over this weekend. So Happy Early Weekend!!

WOW!

Ok so I have learned or am learning that in the world of affiliate marketing, there is new software thrown at you everyday, new affiliate opportunities promising to be the latest, greatest thing. I am a pretty impulsive person-- it is one of my many faults. So this causes me to want to do it ALL. I have to constantly bring myself back to ground zero and analyze where my limited time is best spent. It is rather overwhelming to say the least.

Yesterday I purchased Affiliate X software promising to be the greatest new thing out there. It so far has given me a lot of choices to choose from as far as products to promote that are profitable. However there are no tutorials on how to promote them. There is a signals compilation but it isn't helpful to the novice. This is definitely something for the seasoned marketer.

One thing I have learned from this new program is to bid high on my CPC to dominate the market. The only problem with that is that I don't have the money to do too much. I am depleting my savings as is. So I am going to try another method taught on this new software using Twitter. If you don't have a twitter account, get one. I didn't realize how fast it has caught on but it has. So I am going to use that to my advantage today.

I have to make money and am selling (or attempting to) a cosmetic line called Aloette. Its great products but it involved direct selling. I have found out that direct selling is not one of my strengths. Nevertheless, we need food. So this weekend I am working with a colleague/ friend at a Holiday Show to sell my products. I am hoping this brings in some good money so that I can cover this month's expenses and have some left over for Christmas and December. Yes, we are still living paycheck to paycheck.

I checked on my Adwords today as I do every morning and found that I got some clicks but don't know if they converted to sales yet. I am going to check that out in a minute. I have deleted the keywords that weren't getting any traffic or very little traffic with no clicks. I used the new software Affiliate X to grab some hot keywords in my campaign and put them in. We will see how that changes things today.

For now-- off to twitter...

Balancing Act

So here I sit here watching my dad who is elderly and needs a lot of care to get him throughout the day (my mom is currently at the doctor three hours away herself) and trying to work on my marketing at the same time. I feel torn between spending quality time with him or working so I can put food on the table. I guess food wins out for a while.

I am getting more and more clicks in my AdWord campaign. However they are not converting to sales. I have installed a tracking code in my blogs to see how many people are visiting and it seems I have a number visiting my blog about The People Search Niche. So today I have put more time into posting in that blog and hoping that the visitors 1)become returning visitors, 2)Click thru to the other links I have listed. In the blog I am explaining this niche I have chosen and why. I am updating daily to show the different aspects of the niche and current market research. So check it out!!

The other things I plan to do today, time permitting, is to learn about article writing and write some articles. I think I may just have the time to learn today though and maybe start one. Article marketing is free and is an easy way of getting you a top spot on Google in a fraction of the time as it would other ways.

I am also researching keywords for possibly creating a second AdWord campaign about people search marketing for affiliates. Wow, I have a lot to do....

Another Day, Another Dollar

My new marketing venture keeps getting inturrupted by family problems. Now I have to take off all of tomorrow to take my mom to the doctor 3 hours away. But you know, these things come up and you just can't help them.

Now for my progress, I have been able to set up a campign in Google AdWords and modify it based on clicks and impressions. My CTR (click through rate) is pretty low right now, so I did some research today using Keyword Elite. I searched for which terms were being searched the most, had the least CPC (Cost per click), and the most CTR. I was able to do this with the Keyword Elite Market Research tool. I have made one commission so far on this campaign and I haven't checked today yet.

I haven't spent much money yet. And I am giving this through the week. I am also going to use the free methods of advertising with articles and lenses. I hope that a full blown attack will help!!

A Little Further Down The Road

OK so it has been about a month and I have taken some time off as my husband has just returned from Iraq. It has been so great to have him home. I didn't realize how much I really missed him. We actually took a family trip to Orlando, FL. No we didn't go to Disney World. We thought the kids are too young to do any rides and it would just be more than they can take. We did go to Sea World. It was wonderful weather-- lovely sunny Florida and very little tourists!! I am not a big crowd person so this was great for me. So after days enjoying the sun and the pools, I am back to trying to make it at Affiliate Marketing.

I have the need to make some money quickly and am researching and trying out PPC (Pay per clicks) Advertising. I have definitely used my info from Wealthy Affiliate. This is THE place to get your information from people who know what they are talking about. The best part is that you can also take odds and ends jobs from the job board to get some instant money. These jobs are usually article writing for other Affiliate Marketers.

So I researched until I started seeing dizzy circles on the computer. This is what I have come up with-- you need excellent keyword research and ad copy. I have chosen to use part of my budget for Keyword Elite. This is a unique program that analyzes any keyword you input and gives you information on your competition such as CPC (Cost Per Click), Number of Campaigns on each keyword, Number of Clicks on Keyword, etc. There are tools to use to spy on your competitors and there is a total video tutorial. I found out about Keyword Elite from Wealthy Affiliate. I have learned so much and saved a lot of money from this tool.

Next I created my first campaign in Google AdWords. This is a daunting task and a little scary, I mean this is my money we are talking about. I need a very good ROI (Return on investment) b/c I have a very low budget. I started with advertising my people search. I wanted to see how well this MLM Company really works. I just started today and am still waiting for my Quality Score to improve.

I have spent my SATURDAY researching all of this-- now I must be into this stuff or I wouldn't take away time from my family for this!! My husband is threatening to confiscate the computer....LOL.

All in all, a good day for learning and began a campaign.

Steep Mountains

Yesterday started out well enough but boy did I get in panic mode quickly. I have poked around the forum at APS and WA and some info my sponsor sent me. ALL of it was overwhelming. There is so much to learn. This is truly like learning a new skill set without having to pay astronomical fees for college. There is a HUGE learning curve for newbies. It takes time to sift through all the training and take it all in. I am sure that a business background would be helpful and a computer science one too. But alas I have neither. I have learned that you can start from scratch. You can learn to do this without the above mentioned backgrounds. My sponsor for APS is very encouraging and giving me tips daily. I was able to calm down with his help. I realize now that it will not only take time for my business to grow but will also take time for me to learn this new skill set (rather an obvious thing but with all the hype of getting massive incomes quickly, your perspective is changed). It is rather daunting at the moment but I still have hope. I have a stong desire to do this venture and determination. The time is not an issue for me since I want to do it. As with all jobs there are parts you like and parts you don't. So far I haven't found any that I don't like but I am sure there will be some.

After reading the forums, talking with my sponsor, and researching myself I must admit that I have joined the New Rich Report but am very skeptical of it. There are a lot of unanswered questions about it. I did join 10 Years of Traffic and WA today. I am sure WA will be a great training tool but I have also found that GVO is a great one too. I think by combining them it will shorten the learning curve. I end with this quote from myself "You are on as efficient as you are well organized."
